BEATBOX: Taylor Swift

So who has mixed reactions with Taylor Swift's songs? And choice of clothes? Let's just cut the chase, I'm not a fan of the curly locks. And if people (other than myself) hate it, it's her fault. I mean, she can always have it straightened. With all the money she has (already earned), she can have it straightened permanently for all we know. HAHA. Maybe it's just my preference. It greatly shows maturity.

I think the first time I saw her with straight hair was in her music video for You Belong With Me. And I was shocked! I loved it. Sad thing is, she doesn't really go out with straight hair.. especially going to the red carpet. Except for this!! :

Taylor Swift attended the 2010 AMA's wearing this Collette Dinnigan Rhinestone Dress. Paired it up with some Jimmy Choo strappy heels and Lorraine Schwartz black cocktail ring on her left hand index finger (which we cannot see in this photo.)

Our dear little Ms. Swift is growing up right before our very eyes. :)
I personally loved this whole ensemble! From the hair, right down to the shoes. Everything was flawless. I also love how her make-up just looks nude. And they edged her up a notch by adding dark shades for her eyes. Perfection!

On her music career on the other hand, I haven't really been a Taylor Swift fan at all. I only love 2 or 3 songs from her. Why? I just find her songs so monotonous. I'm not hating, but I guess that's what happens when you write and compose you own music. You get stuck in the same melody over and over again.

However, this You Belong With Me performance by Ms. Swift is superb. She now interacts with the audiences. Lovely performance!

TRASH BIN #2

Here's a bit of a shocker. I always wanted to dedicate a post entirely for Lea Michele. Don't you ever wonder why she tries so hard to be "sexy" all the time outside of Glee? The funniest thing is that she is (in real life) the total opposite of her character in Glee. It only shows she really knows how to act. Well this post is actually a mix of both worlds. A good one and a trash(y) one.
To kick things off, here's one of her photos taken out of Marie Claire when I was searching for pictures at Google.

Here's one more:

I think she really needs to know that she's still sexy even when she's covered up. What up with the suit? Was it hot or something so she's wasn't wearing anything inside? And the skirt, she made it look trashy by just pulling the dress up a little when it was (supposed to be) a tribute to Audrey Hepburn.

One more:

Big thanks to E! for the photo.

I personally find this gown OK. But I would've loved it more if it was longer. (Floor length). Plus, what's with the loose peep-toe pumps? You can really see the "gap" at the back of it. HAHA. It's obviously too big for her. But she has some good ones too. Like this Oscar De la Renta navy blue gown she wore at the 2010 Emmy's:

She added some sparkle with a Lorraine Schwartz necklace... and that gave it a home run.

TRASH BIN #1

Another added section to my blog. YES! HAHA. And just as the name implies, in here are all the "trash" for me. Either about fashion or music.

Okay so here's the deal, I never fail to visit Lookbook everyday to get some inspiration on what to wear. I admire probably 75% of photos there, but some of it are just trash for me. I know this post might have mixed feedbacks but I don't care. I just really wanna share this photo to you guys:

Well of course I did something to his face so people (who know him) wouldn't recognize who he is. I'm doing this purely because I don't think this photo does justice for Lookbook at all. Why even take this picture? TRASH. And just when I thought that the lack of shoes is enough to turn heads, when I looked closer..... Electrical/extension cords are also visible. Was it left there on purpose or did you just forgot to plug it out? Whatever the case, lights out on your productions chum.

KYLISM: 10 Things You Wouldn't Catch Me Wearing At The Mall (Part 2)

After the flattering comments I've received from the part one of this post, making the second part was indeed more thrilling. I just felt that my voice and thoughts were being heard in such a simple way. And I must say, posts like this energizes me. I have to think of other topics to post here. But all in due time. Anyway, here is the second part to my "10 Things You Wouldn't Catch Me Wearing At The Mall" post.

6. Faux Fur Coats

I don't know if you guys are as aware as I am, but a lot of fashion houses now has Faux fur coats for men as well. Well then of course, locally we have Zara here to help us. The reason why you wouldn't catch me wearing this is because it doesn't suit our climate. Maybe when I'm abroad...or maybe not. Ha-ha. If the coat has subtle details of "fur" then that's better on my book.

7. Under-the-butt Jeans

Okay forgive me for the title for number seven, but I just don't know what to call this kind of jeans. Maybe a low low low rise jeans? Ha-ha! One time when I was at the mall getting a tattoo, I say this guy pulling this kind of look. Well the first thing that popped into my mind was "What's so special with his boxers that he has to show them?" I'm really lost for words. Well some prefer this "style", but personally, I wouldn't wear them.

8. Loud Shirts / Jackets

Now, I have nothing against this look. Personally, I prefer basic clothes. Maybe because I prefer to be safe when it comes to my clothing options especially color wise. But some prefer this Glam-rock-ish style. And it's perfectly fine. Ed Hardy is probably their best choice. They really have nice shirts there, but so not my style.

9. Tank Tops / Muscle Tops

This is a special one cause this is an "unless" number. Ha-ha. Just recently, I have this sudden obsession with easy-to-wear clothes. And tank tops are probably one of them. I already saw of lot of designs I found interesting. However, I wouldn't wear just the tank alone when I'm out and strolling. I just don't feel like the top is enough to make it look edgy and classy at the same time...Unless you wear something over it. Like in the picture's case, a black leather jacket would totally change the overall look of this outfit. Accessorize it with some rings, wear those damn old combat boots, then finish your look with a "Bed-head" hairstyle and you're set to go!

10. Crocs

I think this is the number where a lot of you guys are guilty of. Ha-ha! Well I myself have tried this once. But I just came from school and our footwear inside the kitchen are crocs. So I had no choice! Ha-ha! I think that was a perfect excuse don't you think? Ha-ha! Personally (once again), I wouldn't wear Crocs to the mall or anywhere else (except on my case, the kitchen) because I don't think it's fashionable at all. Well I'm talking about the clogs okay? I get why a lot of people wear it-it's comfy and all... but come on, you have to sacrifice a little for fashion. Wear them when you're driving, then change them when you're malling.

Okay that was fun! What do you guys think? Enjoy the weekend dear viewers! :)

Love For Fashion And Music: KYLISM: 10 Things You Wouldn't Catch Me Wearing At The Mall (Part 1)

This is going to be a fun post. Ha-ha! I was really thinking of a fun post to celebrate my 1,000+ views here in the Philippines alone, and many more worldwide, so I came up with this. I know a lot of you haven't even seen me in real life, so here's a little sneak peak of the things you wouldn't catch me wearing at a mall. I'm going to post this for your information only. I don't intend on hurting anyone (if ever your wearing them), but this post is entirely based on my taste. Everyone has their own style on how they dress. Let's respect each others style. So, let's start!

1. Colored Lens Sunglasses

When I was younger, I really find this trend cute. I even remember Bono (from U2) wears his with confidence. But now-a-days, I can't imagine anyone wearing this. Well I don't want to be one-sided but shades should just compliment what you're wearing, not over-power it. Black, grey and brown are the most common for me. Other than those three, you wouldn't catch me wearing them.

2. Flip-flops

I think everyone has that day where they don't feel like dressing up at all! But wearing flops inside the mall is just a no-no for me. The mall is not your living room. And don't even try to wear them with skinny jeans cause it still won't work. And the harsh-est thing about this no-no is that a lot of people seems to be doing this! For guys, why not wear sneakers or a pair of gladiators? Girls? Ballet flats please. Simple adjustments can make big disasters preventable.

3. Floral Polos / Tops

God, who ever made this a trend before should just stop starting trends period. I mean it's good for girls, especially for summer. But for guys, next please. I think Lito Atienza should be accountable for this trend. Ha-ha! He made it like a "Philippine national polo" or something. But seriously, it doesn't do any guy good. Just stick to basic polos or something with a slight design on it, but not as feminine as this.

4. Baggy Jeans

After seeing the picture, need I say more? But this is an example of "My" style. I personally won't wear baggy jeans. But for some, it really looks good. And harem pants are different from "Baggy Jeans" cause harem pants are just loose on your thighs but tight on your legs.

5. Cowboy Hats

Now, I have nothing against David Beckham. But personally, I wouldn't wear cowboy hats. I'm no cowboy, and I certainly didn't grow up in like a farm environment or something like that, so I wouldn't be used to wearing hats like this. If you're living in the States this would probably be okay. But here in the Philippines, I'm not so sure. Some can pull it off, but personally, you wouldn't catch me wearing this, ever.

Well, that's the first part! The second part will be posted probably by tomorrow or the day after! What do you guys think? Are we the same in terms of style? I really want to hear from you! Thank you for your continuous visit. :)

WALK THE WALK: #2

It has been a long time since I've posted anything here. Sorry once again. Ha-ha!
This picture has been in my archives for such a long time already, and finally, I have decided to post it.
He's a friend of mine and this picture of him is just different:

Carlo Paguio
"Fashion is about courage and honesty."

Black V-neck Shirt (inner) - IZZUE
Black outer shirt - from Bangkok
Pants - Cotton On
Shoes - Converse
Scarf - Rustan's
Bag - Lacoste
Rings - Aldo Accessories

He certainly dared to be different. It's so hard for me to wear shorts or 3/4 pants (as I call it). I'm not the type who goes out wearing this. I'm just not used to the idea, but he certainly proved that comfy clothes can be fashionable too. He wore this outfit to Philippine Fashion Week, and I must say, I died for the fringe necklace. I WANT ONE!!!

BEATBOX: The one likes to raise her glass, and the other loves the way you lie.

You're in to a special treat today dear readers... 2 videos in one post!

The first one loves the way you lie!
Yes it's Rihanna and Eminem. But, it's the part 2 this time.
And yes in this record, Rihanna is the one doing most of the singing.
I don't know why but I prefer the first version of the song. It has so much power compared to this. But however, I missed Rihanna singing ballads like this. So here it is!

NEXT!
It's really the perfect comeback song!
Pink just released her newest record called: Raise Your Glass.
The song actually reminds me of Fireworks by Katy Perry, but in a more upbeat tone. Perfect for clubs!

WALK THE WALK + KYLISM #4

I know it's been forever since my last Walk The Walk post, it's just that I don't really like taking pictures of myself ( I swear!). I don't feel comfortable in front of the camera. I guess I'm camera shy. Ha-ha!
Anyway, this photo has been in my archives for over 2 months already. Ha-ha! I was actually gonna use this for a reserve post. You know, when I don't have anything else to post. Ha-ha! And then, that day finally came!

What I'm wearing:
Black Jacket - Zara
Striped shirt - DIY Ralph Lauren
Dark Blue Jeans - Zara
Shoes - Converse
Watch - Vintage Charles Jourdan
Necklace - Philosophy

Rings:
Index finger, Middle finger - Rockwell Bazaar
Ring Finger - Aldo, Hand-me-down diamond ring

Okay so thankfully, it was gloomy that day. A perfect excuse to wear a jacket! But I must admit, it was still a bit hot for the weather. But nonetheless, I always wear a jacket so I'm used to it. I really don't know why, but recently I've been wearing a lot of accessories. Be it rings or necklaces. I just feel like it soothes my style. Plus I swear that from now on, I'll be more explorative when it comes to color combinations. I have to get used to mixing different color palettes to spice up my style. All in due time.

BEATBOX: Katy Perry - Firework Official Music Video

Yesterday, I was really planning on posting a photo from my archives to be posted on my Walk the Walk, however when I opened my Mac today, I read Katy Perry's tweet regarding her new music video for Firework. I must say that I was excited! I knew the song long before the video was even released, so seeing the video will be a major "Boom!" for me!

By far, this is the best music video from the newly wed Ms. Perry (Yes she has gotten married last October 23 in India). The music video (unlike her recent ones) has more meaning and depth. It talks about so many things in peoples daily lives; Insecurities, domestic violence, crimes, queer issues, and even sicknesses. But the value of it is seeing the "light" in all of it.

In addition, if ever Katy is reading this (ha-ha!), she looks so pretty here! Without the overly-colored hair and the candy-coated dresses. In here, she was just herself. But yeah, there were still purple and blue hues in her hair, but that compared to the wigs she has on before were so much better!

I know you are all dying to see the video so here it is!
Katy Perry's official music video for Firework!
Enjoy and follow! :)

BEATBOX: Willow Smith - Whip My Hair

Finally the long wait is finally over! The official music video for Willow Smith's Whip My Hair is already on Vevo! And I must say I love it! Such a talented kid! The video is fun and youthful. Well, don't forget the song...it's a smash hit. It actually reminds me of Rihanna's songs back in the ol-days. But enough of the blah's, here is the OFFICIAL music video for Willow Smith's Whip My Hair! Enjoy! :)

I really must say Ke$ha is really getting into me. Her songs seems to be sure fire club hits! I really love this song of hers. I was just going around YouTube when I stumbled upon this song!
It's called We R Who We R, and it is so catchy!
Listen and enjoy!

BEATBOX: Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) Official Music Video

I am so thrilled to share to you guys the official music video for Rihanna's song- Only Girl (In The World)!
Frankly I don't get why she's in the middle of a dessert when the song is actually a club song. Ha-ha! But I have to say, this is refreshing for Rihanna. The video is so light and she smiles again (Finally!) Well you can see the video yourselves. Enjoy! :)

BEATBOX: FUGATIVE -SUPAFLY

This is probably my first post on the BEATBOX section where I'll talk about what the singer is wearing rather than the music itself. I must say it's refreshing to see singers now-a-days taking more risks when in comes to what they're wearing. I think they are becoming more adventurous and finally understanding that wearing appropriate clothes are part of entertaining crowds. Look at how nice his studded leather hoodie looks like! And I must say I want one! Ha-ha!

And it's also nice to see people taking sunglasses as fashion accessories rather than using it for your eyes protection only. It looks good inside the club as it is outside on a sunny day (or maybe a rainy one as well). Most of the time, I treat my shades as an accessory more than it's obvious use. Whenever I'm inside the mall, shades screams "DO NOT DISTURB" when in someone's face. So it's nice to see that I'm not the only one with that thinking.

Anyway, this is the video I'm talking about. It's Fugative with his song Supafly.

BEATBOX: Miley Cyrus - Who Owns My Heart

Dear Miley, how did you turn from kiddo Hannah Montana to this sexy living breathing female specimen? Just when I thought you were already sexy from your music video for Can't Be Tamed, here you are surprising me again!

I must say a lot of people doesn't seem to be digging Miley's new image. But come on guys, give the girl a break! Britney did the same thing years ago, so can you please stop hating her? Life is simple, if you don't like her, stop watching her videos! All I ever see are hate comments and frankly, it's not funny or helping at all. People do what they want to do and we just have to accept it. After all, she's a singer... not your daughter or something. She's here to entertain...and by that, she doesn't need to please everybody with her music or image.

Going on with the song, it's actually a so-so song for me. It's not as catchy as Party In The U.S.A. However, Miley should really focus on songs like this. It actually fits her image now-a-days. And we do have to admit, she can really pull-off those short-shorts. Anyway, here's official music video for her new single: Who Owns My Heart.

Comment and tell me what you think!

KYLISM: A Night To Remember!

Two weeks from now, the night I've been waiting for for quite some time now will finally happen. And I must say, even though I've been preparing for a month already (well physically that is), I just feel like it's still not enough. But no matter what the case, I cannot back-out anymore! Ha-ha! The place has already been rented, food was ordered, and liquor bottles are ready to pop.

My folks tells me regularly I've been gaining muscles, but I just don't believe them! Ha-ha! I don't see a dramatic difference. Change is good, but I want a drastic one. And what I have now is more like a "YES NAMAN!" than a "WOW!". And I want a wow! They also tell me that I shouldn't work-out everyday... But I just can't help it. I just have to work out!

And if that's not enough, I also have to think of what I'm going to wear. At first I really wanted to wear a plain white shirt. But due to certain circumstances, I have to level up a bit. When friends asks me what they'll wear, I'll always reply them with this line: "Treat the party as a street in Manhattan." And I do hope they get the point. Gossip Girl is the theme. And as of the moment, I think I'll be going to the party as Nate Archibald. His clothes are laid-back and the cut is always impeccable. AND, I really wanted to wear black but I don't think that would be appropriate considering it's my birthday party. HAHA. So I'll try to be a bit vibrant when it comes to my color choices for that night.

Well enough of the sorta-negative vibe... On the lighter note, I am happy to say that my heart is now officially beating for someone. I wouldn't want to name names yet. I just want to keep this one very private. I hope you guys understand. :)

And oh, Adam Lambert's concert is tonight! Enjoy Manila!

WRITINGS ON MY HEART #4 : This One Is For My Baby.

It's been a long time since I've felt this way...
And I must say, I thought I was at the point of giving up.
All of a sudden, just in the nick of time, you came along.

We started out awkward, didn't know how to start.
But as time passes, we surely did feel the spark.

As we talked endlessly through the night,
My adoration for you seems unparalleled.
Lost for words I truly was,
My heartbeat for someone was never really this fast.

Then as the hours turned to days, and days turned to weeks,
Here we are still loving every minute of it.

At first I asked what spell do you have,
To make me fall for someone this fast.

But without a doubt I trust in you,
that you'll forever love me, that's true.

And if the time comes that you'll feel cold,
I'll always be here if you need an arm to hold.

I want you close to me every night and day,
cuddling endlessly and maybe sometimes play... :p

And after it all I just want you to see
that because of my love for you,
I made this poem for you, my baby.

K.Sy

KYLISM: Reinvention.

Okay so why the title? So yes I've been reinventing myself for the past few months. And I must say that being away from everyone is one big factor why I want to change. It actually gives me the space to find myself once more and make myself happy in my own little way. And although being alone can be a little bit sad, if absorbed properly, it's actually a good thing. (Sometimes)

So if you've been following my Twitter account, you will notice that I mentioned that I have a new favorite song... and I won't really share what's the name of that song just yet. Ha-ha! But it's not a new song though. It actually dates back to the year 2000 (I think). And the most funniest thing is that it wasn't my favorite before...but now, it fits me.

The first line of the verse goes like: "Traded in my sorrows for some joy that I borrowed from back in the day. Threw away my old clothes, got myself a better wardrobe..." and in that moment, I just felt the sudden urge to reinvent myself for my comeback. Then if you thought that was enough, the following lines are still shockers : "I got something to say... I'm through with the past, ain't no point in looking back." Speechless eh?

And if you think that it's a sad song... think again! It's actually a fast track.

Will share to you guys the song sometime soon.

And I am pleased to announce, I now have a name for my party next month! AHAHA!
And everytime I hear it, I just laugh. It's just so dark yet comical.

ALL SOON!

Xo,
K.Sy

WRITINGS ON MY HEART #3

It's been forever since I really opened-up about what I've been feeling for the past few months. And I must say that I am really scared to do so. Everything I seem to say or do eventually back-bites me and leaves me speechless. I was born controversial. But do you know what I've leaned since I was away from everyone? It's not about how heavy the problem is... its how long you carry the problem with you. The burden it gives you. And the only time you can really feel relieved from everything is when you're finally ready to admit your problems and share it for people to listen and understand. So now, I feel like I have to say everything or else I will regret not saying this. Well okay at least some of it.

My First Valentine,

I must say I haven't been the most patient, but you know deep in your heart I loved you. I loved you more than myself. And each time you tell me how special I am to you, gives me more reasons to prove it. We must admit though that we handled everything miserably. We were like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of the whole school. People were talking about us...dissecting every single thing that's happening between us. I was virtually invisible before we met, and ever since we started going out, more people are talking sh*ts about me. But I didn't care right? Cause I would go through all that just to prove you how much I truly love you.

I wouldn't forget how I told you that you gave me my heart back. Just last night I read the blog I made before about an adventure to some place. And I just smiled. Cause under that mask are tears ready to fall. When I heard you were going out with someone, I told myself " Hoy, oh 'di ba ang tanga mo?" . And I tried to be happy for you. I really did. But as time goes by, the mask is slowly fading. And maybe it's safe to say that I'm really not over you. I thought I was, but I'm not. Seeing pictures of you with someone else, seeing you happy, your smile... And do you know the funniest thing about this? Is that whenever I receive a text from you or a PM, I'm so excited to reply. And sometimes, I message you not because I really want to ask something, I just miss you. And reading your expressions even thru text is enough for me. Cause I can imagine you saying that to me anyway.

And the songs that I wrote? Probably three of them are for you. You made it hard for me to move on. But you know what, It'll all get better in time. And even though I was the one who eventually pulled away from us, I can now say that I was stupid. And the only consolation prize that I got? Was the assurance that you'll stay happy. Maybe not with me, but with someone better than I was. And even though it breaks my heart seeing you with someone else, it also gives me the courage to stand up and say that leaving you was one of my greatest mistakes in life. After all, you were my first valentine.

BEATBOX: Charice on Glee!

I'm so excited to share to you guys a video that was shared to me by a friend! It's the version of Charice with Beyonce's song Listen!

Okay so here's the deal. As we all know, Charice will be the newest guest for the hit TV show Glee! And I am so thrilled to have stumbled upon this video. Well of course we have to admit the trailer (where Charice was singing Telephone) was a bit unfulfilling. It seems to me like it was not enough to boost up the anticipation for the show. Then, here comes this video. Well I have to be clear though, it's a collage of pictures made into a video with Charice's voice in the background. I actually think this is enough to keep the energy and anticipation going for us to really watch what will happen to Sunshine Corazon.

Listen and enjoy!

BEATBOX: Only Girl (In The World)

So as I promised yesterday, today I'm gonna post the newest single of Rihanna which is named after her most recent concert tour - Only Girl (In The World). Now, a lot of people seems to be making quite a stir with regards to Rihanna's new hair color. And I must say, at first I didn't get it either. But now looking at the album cover, I seem to be digging it.

Well compared to Lady GaGa's purple hair before. And hey, no haters please. I sold my soul to GaGa long before Rihanna dyed her hair red. But I must admit the purple hair wasn't one of my favorites from her. It only comes to show that with the right kind of confidence and attitude, people can pull-off anything. (Almost anything).

Now moving on to the music, the song was a so-so for me. Well if you will compare this single to one of Rated R's songs, this one is more youthful and exudes (may I dare say) sweetness. Rihanna has been known to be releasing dark and very deep songs recently. You can't really blame the girl though... With the thing that happened between Chris Brown and her. But in saying that, I actually loved her Rated R album. It gave me tons of iPod worthy songs such as Russian Roulette, Hard, Fire Bomb, Te Amo, Stupid In Love, and of course the most popular of all - Rude Boy.

The single was produced by Stargate who also gave the song Don't Stop The Music to us. And in addition to that, the song has also shared some controversy. Well following her last video for Te Amo (which I posted here in my blog as well), which is a girl to girl action video. I hope you got that. Ha-Ha. The first line from her new single says: "I want you to love me like I'm a hot guy...". Intriguing right? Maybe Rihanna is simply pushing bounderies with this one just like what other artists are doing now a days. Well we just really have to wait and see... the video to this song will tell us everything for sure. But for the mean time, since the video is not out yet, I hope you enjoy the song as much as I did.

K. Sy

BEATBOX: Sneak Peek - LOUD!

The wait is surely worth it.
Tomorrow I will upload one of my new fave club song.
From who? Well here are the clues:
1. She's already been here for a concert.
2. She's pals with Katy Perry.
3. She has a kick-ass song with Eminem.

Still not enough?
Okay I'm already gonna give it away. She had her hair dyed red!
Yes you guessed it!
It non other than the sexy RIHANNA!

She's back and bolder than ever with her new single
"Only Girl ( In The World )"
That's what's in store for you guys tomorrow! :)
And just to add to the excitement, here's the cover!

BEATBOX: Get Outta My Way - LIVE

So since I am so thrilled with my last post regarding Kylie Minogue, I've searched for you guys the best live performance of the song (for me). It's from America's Got Talent.

And are those Louboutins I see? (Notice the red sole during close up) Well if it is, bravo. Thank God Kylie can still dance with those shoes on. Here's the video! Enjoy!

KYLISM + BEATBOX: ABSENT.

Miss me? Yes, I've been MIA for over a month. And I can't really give an excuse anymore. But hey I did point out before that I'm not really the type who really blogs often. Plus for the past month, I didn't really have the chance to go out and dress up. Most of the time, I just go out wearing blah clothes. So it's really not worth posting. I deeply apologize.

In addition to my nonsense, I am really trying to bulk up. So buying clothes for me are temporarily at hold. Not to mention I'm not in Manila for the mean time. So it's a shopping pause for the dear blogger. But no worries, next month will be my shopping spree. Ha-ha! Why? 'Cause it's my f*cking birthday!

Right now I'm really trying to earn. TRYING. I earn a minimum wage. Where? Our own store. HA-HA. And I am happy to say, please save the date 10.23.10. That night will be a fashion extravaganza. I get to show off my new figure and yes, tons and tons of clothes to browse from thanks to my guests. I know what you're thinking... that's like a month from now and I'm already spilling the beans. HA-HA. You really can't blame me though. Being away from my friends is like sleeping in bed without the mattress. It okay at first, but becomes intolerable when prolonged. So I have to see them ASAP.

And I am also happy to share that I've discovered so many new songs lately. Well of course they're not so new anymore because it's been like forever since I last blogged. LOL. But just for the sake of keeping you all waiting, here's a little Kylie Minogue for you guys. The title of the song is "Get Outta My Way" from her album Aphrodite. Hope you guys enjoy the song as much as I do.

Much Love,
K. Sy

STILETTOS and HEELS #3

I am so ashamed. It has been forever since my last post here. And YES I know I said before that I'll really try my best to keep you guys posted with what's happening in my life...But since I've been "doing something" lately, just recently I must add, I've been so damn tired and busy. So, SORRY guys!
Enough of the chit chat, continuing with my old post (very old), and as I promised, I will share to you what my friend was wearing during Dan's birthday party so here it is:

Thea Liz Fu
"Fashion doesn't have to make your wallet empty."

Tank Top - Crissa
Cardigan - Rusty (From Hong Kong)
Ripped boy shorts - Terranova
Heels - Charles and Keith
Belt - Gucci
Bag - Landmark
Bracelet - Espada

Personally, I really loved Thea's outfit that night. It so appropriate for the party. Plus, as she said, fashion is found on the most unexpected places...and to that, you can even buy it in more affordable prices as well. Well except for the Gucci belt that is. Ha-ha!

POPCORN-ER #1 : It's a total ECLIPSE!

WELCOME WELCOME to the newest section of my blog: POPCORN-ER!
So YES, last sunday I watched The Twilight Saga:Eclipse at Podium with my big brother. And I have to say, I was more than thrilled to watch it. And for the very first time, we arrived on time so we didn't miss any part from the movie.
I have to say that the movie exceeded my expectations. Every little part of it was placed perfectly. Plus, it made me understand the "Why?" behind some of the supporting characters. And let's admit it, the fighting part was so entertaining. And oh, not to mention the "KISS ME!" part as well. Ha-ha!

Well if you haven't watched the movie yet, get out of your house and go watch it! It's a must! And if you want a sneak peek, here's the trailer for the movie! Enjoy! :)

PS: I'm sorry but I forgot to take a picture of what I was wearing that day. Will make up for that soon! :)

KYLISM: Party Like A Rockstar!

So as I said in my earlier post, I attended my friends birthday party a few weeks ago. Well okay, the party of Model/Host Daniel Fidel Yusay. We've been friends for almost a year now. And of course, the next question would be, "How did you two become friends?". Okay here it goes, so me and Ian Batherson were friends before he even joined Starstruck. He introduced me to Dan who also lives in the same village as me. So there you go. That's how we become friends. And when Dan moved out from Bonifacio Heights, every time I'm in Greenbelt, I'll call and shout my oh-so favorite line: "YUSAY! Where are you?". Ha-ha!

Okay so the party started by 9:00pm I think. And there weren't a lot of guests yet. Everyone was wearing appropriate clothes. And of course, this post wouldn't be right if I didn't post some of my friends pictures. And yes, one of them will be featured on STILETTOS AND HEELS!

Yours truly! :)

Thea Fu and Me

Thea Fu, Jessica Matias and Sheila Garces

Sheila Garces and Dan Yusay

Me and Dan Yusay

Jessica Matias and Jason Matias

At the back: Mark Dy and Deepa Mansukhani of Garage Magazine

Calvin Cu and Safa Rodas

The next feature on STILETTOS AND HEELS will be all about what Thea Fu was wearing that night. So keep viewing to know the brands she was rocking from head to toe!

NOTICE! #6

Hey guys, I'm sorry if I haven't been updating my blog lately. Whenever I try to make a new post, I just can't seem to finish it. My nausea is slowly killing me. However, along with my brake from blogging is a new addition to my ever growing blog. I'll call it:
POPCORN-ER.
Movie reviews will all be posted here. I don't really watch movies though but who knows, because of this I might become a movie addict. Ha-ha!

Much love!

D.I.Y. #1

Well as I promised, I will be posting how I made some of my clothes in this section. Don't get too excited though. I don't really make my clothes every time. So posts here will be very limited. Sorry.
But enough of the chit chat.
So last week, I was going to attend a friends birthday party... And shockingly, I haven't got any clue on what I was going to wear that time. When I was going through my closet, the only thing that I found appropriate for the occasion was a plain Zara Gray shirt. Well that is because the theme for the party was "relaxed"...and my clothes are no way suited for that theme. Ha-ha!
So at first, I was like, "Okay you can pull this look off. Wear some harem pants, a cap and your all-mighty Chucks with it then you're set to go". BUT, a day before my friend's party, I wanted to wear something else instead. The down side is, I don't have time to go to the mall and grab something (considering I only shop at Greenbelt and Rockwell).
And so, the creative side of KYLE SY kicked in again. I remember when I was in Zara Greenbelt a few months ago, I saw a faded blue shirt with studs on the shoulder. I so wanted to get that that time. However, upon much thought, the fabric used to make the shirt was not something I'm comfortable with. It's the kind of fabric that sticks to your body when you sweat. And I'm not a fan of that fabric AT ALL. So, with a broken heart, I left the store without buying it.
But no regrets though, cause at least, I had the chance to make my own studded shirt. Here's how I made mine:

1. Lay your shirt on a flat surface and make sure everything is in place.

2. Measure your desired length for the bottom part of the shirt. Then leave a mark on it.

3. Cut the front part of the shirt. Leave the back part to retain the original length of it. (It gives the shirt a more edgy look.)

4. Buy some inexpensive clip-on studs. Individually place them on the shoulder part of the shirt. Well you can place them anywhere you like actually. But I chose mine to be placed on the shoulders.

5. Add more studs on the bottom part of the shirt to give it that extra something.

Then, after much anticipation, here it is!

The down side to this is that you have to remove the studs every time you're gonna have it washed. Well, the price you pay for fashion. Ha-Ha!
I will post here soon how the actual shirt looks like when worn properly.
I hope you guys liked my first ever D.I.Y. post! Don't forget to follow me here and on Twitter!

KYLISM + WRITINGS ON MY HEART #1

So here I go again with merging two separate sections into one. I just feel like I needed to tell you guys so many things to really get to know me more. Although that's not necessary, I just feel like I needed to. I want my viewers to get to know the writer behind this blog.

I am more than just clothes and music. Deep inside lies a brain that never stops thinking. Well, there are those certain moments that it does, but hey, No Regrets, Just Lessons Learned.

So yes, I'm still studying. BUT, I stopped for this semester. My dad thinks that I really need to get my mind straightened out in order for me to move forward. And I do believe that it is true. I really needed this time off to think about what I'm going to become in the next 5 or 10 years. I am a culinary student from Enderun Colleges. But before that, I was already in my 2nd year in San Beda for the course Marketing and Corporate communications. However, I transferred because cooking is really what I love to do. BUT, I am not so sure if that's what I want to do for the rest of my life. I don't want to slave over a hot stove every single day. That's probably the reason why I second-guessed myself for a moment. Maybe, I just want to be the person behind closed doors. The one who's managing something instead. Why not? Managing things successfully runs in my blood anyways.

So for the next semester, I am going to finish my first course. However, the school is still vague. I still don't know where I want to finish it. All I know is that I don't want to go back to San Beda anymore. I've been there and as much as possible, I don't want to go back. After 2 years, who knows, I might take up fashion design. I want KYLE SY to be a brand name. A name people would come to love and recognize. And in that span of time, if things will be successful and if God permits, you will all be shouting my name and buying my clothes. LOL.

Right now, I'm not doing anything really productive. That's why I wanted to write for a fashion magazine or be a stylist for the mean time. Who knows, it might jump-start my career in fashion. I'm just really keeping my fingers crossed until that time comes. Much love guys!

WALK THE WALK + KYLISM #3

Sorry once AGAIN for the delayed post. When I said I was feeling a lot better before...I lied.
Still feeling very nauseous. All I can really do is to lie down and wait for things to just get better for me. However, with the constant wake up call I get to drive my brother to school by 6:30am, recouping for lost energy is something really hard for me to achieve. My body is (finally I'm admitting it) breaking down and I don't know how much I can keep up with this.
Anyway, so I've been keeping this picture since last week. I don't really want to post another picture of me unless I know I have some other pictures that are saved in my archive for emergency purposes. I really don't want to leave things hanging here. So since I have a new picture to save for another day, I'm going to post here now what I was wearing last week when we went to Duty Free to shop with my mom. And again like my second picture here, my mom also took this picture. Twas taken in my favorite lane from Duty Free's grocery department:

Gray Blazer - Zara
Plain White V-Neck Shirt -Zara
Skinny Jeans - Topman
Shoes - Zara

Accessories:
Watch - (Vintage) Charles Jourdan
Necklace - Philosophy

FYI- I so hate my hair here. Twas a really bad hair-day for me. But yeah, I have no choice but to just try to pull it off.

In addition, the reason why I had my picture taken here was because I really drink Silk's Soy Milk. And I drink it everyday. One in the morning and one at night. AND like most of you, I too am lactose-intolerant, so what I do is add 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder (Cadbury Original Drinking Chocolate) so I won't really taste the milk. It a really good source of protein and calcium! So drink up!

After shopping at Duty Free, we went to Max's restaurant to have the unlimited chicken. I ate four pieces - which is equivalent to a whole chicken. And...I died. Literally, whenever I burp, it smells like the same chicken smell that came in my mouth when I ate it. Ha-ha! Disgusting? I know.

STILETTOS and HEELS #2

Sorry for the delayed post guys. Been feeling under the weather lately. But now, I'm back and alive!
Introducing my newest post for Stilettos and Heels!
Amongst all the ladies that I know, this girl might have the biggest collection of clothes aside from my mom. Ha-Ha!
Her closet is filled with designer clothes for you to drool at. Well, of course you have to clean that up afterwards. But no kidding aside, she usually saves up her food money to buy clothes and shoes. Wise right? We should all do that! No food...Just clothes. I am talking about:

Erica Gono
"The person who said money can't buy happiness prolly didn't know where to shop."

Wool Jacket - Zara
Black Cashmere Sweater - Prada
Leggings - Zara
Ballet Flats - Chanel
Bonnet with Feathers - Zara
Aviator Shades - Ray Ban
Handcarry - Longchamp
Luggage - Paul and Joe

And oh, this picture was taken in Japan. During their Christmas trip last year.

Money Can Buy You... #4

Hello dear viewers! Sorry for the delayed post today. I've been busy sketching some clothes and pants that I want to produce. Will post some of the sketches in a jiffy.
Well cheers to another Money Can Buy You... post and I am very thrilled to tell you that this one I'll be sharing to you was sent to me via loveforfashionandmusic@yahoo.com!
It was sent to me by Micah Lee; And she wanted to share to us what her parents bought her from Canada! Here's what she wrote:
"My dad got it from Canada, for around Php 18,000. It's made from PVC Fabric. :) It has 12 card holders, a coin compartment and a pocket in the front as well, with a heart emblem at the front. The photos are attached. :p"

What can you say guys?
I personally adore PVC bags and wallets. I just think it's so much easier to maintain and clean. Any dirt that comes in contact with it can be removed and wiped off easily.
Thanks Micah for sharing to us your lovely wallet!
